Good Reads!

I love to cook...I love to read...so lucky me, Mike included these 2 in my Christmas gifts. I just finished Heat and started My Life in France. Heat was interesting, great writing style and literally sucked you into the experience of working in a kitchen. As with most food books, it made me aware of what actually happens in professional kitchens, things I do not wish to know. Yeah.... big baby! I subscribe to the 'What I don't know...' way of thinking. ;)
Julia's book is sweet and romantic. I love when people reminisce over times that provided them with boundless joy, not dependent on the amount of their pocket books.

After this, I'll start the Unprejudiced Palate.

Gotta go, I've got a lot of reading to do!

I agree with you on the "what you don't know..." way of thinking. I'm such a wuss, I am sure that if I knew even a small portion of what goes on, I would never eat out again!

Deb,

FYI: Here's a Filipina's food blog and she has a link to 126 Filipinos who have food blogs as well.
